Dr. Michael Carter of Atlanta, GA, is a board certified physician with a special focus on providing preventative medicine and minimally invasive cosmetic surgery. He is a member of:

Dr. Carter graduated from Morehouse College, Atlanta Georgia, where he received his B.S. degree in biology. He received his MD from Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Carter began his medical career as a board certified anesthesiologist. Is Dr. Carter a Plastic Surgeon?

No. Tumescent liposuction is not plastic surgery. It is a minimally invasive procedure. This technique requires no placement of implants or major reconstruction. Plastic surgeons are highly trained to reconstruct areas such as with face lifts and major tummy tucks, and usually utilize implants for breast and buttock augmentation. For the most part those procedures require patients to undergo general anesthesia.

Dr. Carter is a board certified physician who has undergone extensive training in various cosmetic procedures and is a recognized and active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.
